The series based on Sara Shepard's popular teen novels focuses on four teenaged girls who made a pact not to talk about what happened the night their friend disappeared a year ago.

Set in the fictitious town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, the series follows the lives of Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One year later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. At first they think it's Alison herself, but after she is found dead, the girls realize that someone else knows their secrets, including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew. As the show continues they discover more secrets that can harm not only them but the ones around them. They also discover clues that may lead them to find out the identity of "A" and Ali's death.

First I thought it is just another "I Know What You Did Last Summer", but it far more than that, the series has lot of things to offer. The characters are great and some part of their lives happened on teen’s life today that is why viewers can relate to it. The series is a bit realistic than those other TV series which is more on fantasy (referring about vampires, sorcerers, witches and alike TV shows) that you can’t really relate your life with. Pretty Little Liars also share lessons in life in some of their episodes but mostly their episodes will make the viewers think and think deeper.
psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-12657711607856229802011-03-06T00:22:00.001-08:002011-12-25T06:41:07.148-08:00Cougar Town
Cougar Town is an American television sitcom that premiered on ABC on 23 September 2009. The show was created by Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel and is produced by Coquette Productions in association with ABC Studios. The series focuses on a recently divorced woman in her forties facing the often humorous challenges, pitfalls and rewards of life's next chapter, along with her son, ex-husband, and friends who together make up her dysfunctional, but supportive and caring extended family.

The first season premiere episode shows Jules while she examines her naked body in the mirror for signs of aging. Jules, now divorced from her husband Bobby, tries to re-enter the dating world and relate to her young assistant Laurie. Jules' best friend and neighbor, Ellie, tries to prevent her from going out while her son is constantly being embarrassed by both of his parents. Jules begins dating Josh (Nick Zano). Jules' relationship with Josh ends when Josh tells Jules that he loves her. Unfortunately Jules does not feel the same way. Later Jules begins a relationship with Jeff (Scott Foley) a client who infuriates Jules with his indecision. Her relationship with Jeff ends when the relationship becomes too serious for Jules who is not looking for anything too serious so soon after her divorce, whereas Jeff is ready to settle down as he has being 'playing the field' for a long time.

After her relationship with Jeff ends, Jules falls into bed with ex-husband, Bobby (Brian Van Holt). This causes Bobby's feelings for Jules to stir even more and he later tells her that he wants her back. Jules, however, tells him that she loves him but 'not that way anymore' and that their happy ending is them as friends, raising their son, Travis (Dan Byrd) together. Toward the end of the season, the simmering feelings between Jules and neighbor Grayson (Josh Hopkins) boil to the surface, and the two begin

a relationship.

Cougar Town opened to mixed reviews from critics. Metacritic gave the series 49 out of 100 based on the pilot episode, from the 21 reviews it collected, and a user score of 4.5 out of 10 based on 46 votes. Many critics have speculated that show will only have a narrow target audience: older women; with Alessandra Stanley of The New York Times stating that the shows "plot description alone could drive away male viewers" while the Los Angeles Times' Mary McNamara opined that it "is fun and exciting for women over 40." Despite speculation, the show has done well with young males and young adults in all key demographics.

In The Irish Times Kate Holmquist writes that "Cox is both a symbol and a red light warning for everything that is wrong with the Hollywood portrayal of middle-aged women, who are rarely wise or strong or naturally aged" and states that she is "the female version of the pervert in a dirty raincoat". In contrast to the previous year, season 2 received positive reviews from critics. The second season currently holds an average score of 75 out of 100 on Metacritic, based on 7 reviews, indicating 'generally favorable reviews'. Hitfix writer Alan Sepinwall also gave a positive review of the show, saying that "midway through the first season the writers realized their cast was so funny together that the wisest course was to just put everyone together as often as possible. By the end of the season, it was often funnier many weeks than the Modern Family episode leading into it. This is still the show that Cougar Town became at mid-season last year."

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cougar_Town

psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-72037937653565696872008-01-07T13:17:00.000-08:002008-12-10T02:19:38.634-08:00Birds of Prey
Birds of Prey is a drama television series which is based on the DC Comics series with the same name. It was developed by Laeta Kalogridis for The WB, it was produced in 2002. This is a fantastic series which loved by many fans, unfortunately the show was one of the many that did not get to live as long as it should have. Despite the interesting storyline, addicting characters, a good theme, and a wonderful cast and crew, also with an amazing start within the 13 episodes the viewership quickly began to fall and the series was canceled.

The story revolve to the three woman which is the new protectors of the New Gotham. Batman, the guardian of New Gotham, and his one true love, Catwoman, left behind something extraordinary when they vanished. It was their daughter Huntress, her real name is Helena a half metahuman, she has taken up her father's mantel and under cover of the night, fights to protect the innocent and helpless. Joining her in this struggle, Oracle, who was once Batman's protege, Batgirl. She was caught in the crossfire of the war between Batman and Joker causing her to paralyzed , now she fights crime a different way, a master of the cyber-realms and mentor and trainer to heroes. Together, they have taken in a young runaway, Dinah, a metahuman herself with powers to open hidden doors to the mind, powers that she is only beginning to explore. The girls must learn how to work together and become not only a team of superheroes but also a family.

The series is set in New Gotham City, several years after it has been abandoned by Batman, with Barbara Gordon, and Helena as the Huntress, having taken over his war on crime. A central feature of the series is the concept of metahumans. Individuals born with powers that cannot be explained, such as Helena and Dinah. No two metahumans have the same ability (or set of abilities) and there exists a whole sub culture of metahuman society that the outside world knows nothing about. Detective Reese introduced in this series who teamed up with Huntress and the Birds of Prey to defeat metahuman criminals. At first, he is disapproving of Helena's vigilantism, even trying to arrest her, but eventually he realises there is a need for the Birds of Prey to take down criminals the police can't handle. During the course of the show, the Birds of Prey often find themselves confronted with schemes masterminded by Dr. Quinzel, though they are unaware of her involvement until the final episodes of the series. Her attempts to discover what Helena is hiding, and the duplicitous nature of their therapy sessions together, form a large part of the series arc, beginning in the pilot episode, and being resolved in the series finale.

The Cast:

psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-72943484183159171762007-12-19T13:53:00.000-08:002008-12-10T02:19:39.216-08:00The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet is a fictional crime fighter which is originally created by Fran Striker for an American radio program in the 1930s, the character appeared in other media including it's television appearance in the 1960s. Inspired by the success of the Batman series, ABC brought The Green Hornet to television in 1966-67, an adaptation which introduced martial arts master Bruce Lee to American audiences and starred Van Williams as the Green Hornet.

Green Hornet is Britt (or "Brit") Reid, a newspaper publisher by day who by night goes out in his masked "Green Hornet" identity to fight crime as a vigilante. While the police and public believe the Hornet to be a ruthless criminal, the District Attorney knows Reid's secret identity, and welcomes his assistance in fighting racketeers and criminals. Also assisting Reid in his crusade are his secretary, Lenore Case, and his faithful valet, Kato (played by none other than the best in the business Bruce Lee), who is a Kung Fu expert and who drives the sleek "Black Beauty", the Hornet's well armed car. The Black Beauty could fire explosive charges from tubes at its bumpers, which were said to be rockets with explosive warheads, had a concealed-when-not-in-use, drop-down knock-out gas nozzle in the center of the front grille, and could launch a small flying video/audio surveillance device through the trunk lid. One relatively minor aspect of the character which tends to be given limited exposure in the actual productions is his blood relationship to The Lone Ranger, another character created by Striker. The Western property was sold to another company in the 1950s, a legal complication that resulted in the identity of the Masked Rider of the Plains being obscured when it has been dealt with at all in Green Hornet depictions.

The first episode of the series entitled, "The Silent Gun", aired at 730pm on Friday 9th September 1966 and was followed by the fantasy/time travel series "Time Tunnel". The series is about the four girls, the flirt, the native, the one trying to fit in and the criminal in the sport of professional surfing, and the ups and downs of the competitive surfing circuit known as Wave Sync. Birdie Scott (Tiffany Hines), Lacey Farmer (Natalie Ramsey), Dawn Preston (Suzie Pollard), and Kai Kealoha (Sonya Balmores) must overcome their differences in order to capture surf stardom.

In the pilot episode, three of the girls are being sponsored for surfing by a company called Wave Sync, Dawn, the rich girl who stays out flirting with hot guys, Kai, the native of Hawaii, and Birdie which struggling in getting a job. They live with their coach, Justin (David Chokachi), and his assistant, Shoe (Jason Tam), who is in charge of keeping the boards clean. The last girl, Lacey Farmer, comes from an abusive household. She hopes that if she travels to Hawaii, Wave Sync will give her a sponsorship. She was strongly considered until Wave Sync saw her criminal record. Forced to stay in Hawaii because of her mother's drunk boyfriend, she has to prove that she belongs, regardless of her record.

There are many interesting characters in the series like Dawn which we know as “the flirt”, however as the series goes she's so much more than that. Also Lacey, she has a lot of trials in life which causes her to run off to Hawaii. The four main female characters come from diverse backgrounds and bring many of their issues into the house. Fights ensue over boys, money and surfing, and the girls are forced to learn life lessons without parental supervision. At the end of the day, friendships and bonds are formed, but not without a “whodunit” angle to keep the drama alive until the next episode.
psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-63519614501171962412007-11-12T12:57:00.000-08:002008-12-10T02:19:42.804-08:00Criss Angel: Mindfreak
This amazing TV show “Criss Angel Mindfreak” is distributed by A&E Network which debuted in 2005, and centers on unusual stunts and street magic acts by illusionist Criss Angel. The first and second seasons were filmed at the The Aladdin in Las Vegas, were the third season at the Luxor Hotel. On its premier on July 20, 2005, there are a lot of illusions featured including walking on water, levitating above the Luxor Hotel, floating between two buildings, causing a Lamborghini to disappear, surviving in an exploding C4 Crate, and cutting Criss Angel's body in half in full view of an audience. Taken from the opening of the half hour television show, the definition of the title, Mindfreak is a modern day mystifier who utilizes skills beyond the category of magic. This can be expanded by saying that a Mindfreak is in fact a person (magicians, illusionists, etc) who engages in acts which seem to defy human or scientific logic or as an individual who pushes the boundaries of their own mind and body. On a stunt in the third season, he attempted to jump out of a van before it crashed and exploded. Criss made it but landed on his neck and the show's production was stopped for two weeks while he recovered. October 2007, fourth season begin filming and the show is scheduled to run for two more seasons after that.

Criss Angel is on a quest to bring magic into our lives through extreme entertainment that he calls “Mindfreak”. He believes today's magicians are for the most part archaic and out of touch with society. He plans to change that with amazing feats, including being set ablaze for 46 seconds with very little protection and levitating people right on the street to death-defying escapes and even more slight-of-hand acts. In response to how he does his stunts, he has only declared not to have any paranormal powers, saying: “I do not believe that anybody has the ability to do anything that's supernatural”.

Building Float: Criss Angel takes Mindfreak's season 1 levitation to a whole new level. After the death of Mary the kids was trained by John to hunt and kill all things that go “bump in the night”. At a young age, both Sam and Dean became resourceful sleuths and experienced fighters assisting their father in his quest to destroy dangerous creatures and find the demon that had killed their mother. However, Sam rebelled against the lifestyle his father chose for him, eventually having a falling out with his father and leaving to live a “normal” life. At the age of 22 Sam attended Stanford University on a full scholarship and lived with his girlfriend Jessica (Adrianne Palicki), who was very supportive of him. One night, after years of estrangement, 26 year-old Dean shows up at Sam and Jess to ask for Sam's help to look for their father who had gone missing in three weeks during a “hunting trip”. Sam hesitate to do paranormal hunting again, Dean explained that John has been hunting for more clues to explain the mysterious death of Mary so Sam reluctantly agrees to help Dean in the search.

The brothers trace John to Jericho, California, where they find more clues about their father's possible location and help solve the ghost murder mystery their father had been working on before he disappeared. After all was said and done however and John was yet to be found, Sam declines his brother's invitation to continue the search and conduct more hunts, opting instead to return to his life with Jessica. Unfortunately, when he back in his apartment, he find Jessica dead as the same manner as his mother died. Due to the incident Sam decides to join Dean in the search for their father who may have answers about the demon who killed his mother and his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Sam starts to develop frightening abilities that include death visions, visions of people dying before it actually happens. These visions are somehow connected to the demon who murdered his mother and it's mysterious plans that seem to be all about Sam. Eventually the brothers locate their father, and he reveals the extent of his knowledge of the demon that killed Mary, and his intention to kill it. However, due to a series of catastrophic events (beginning with John's capture), they are eventually overpowered by the demon. While possessing John the demon nearly tortures Dean to death before Sam is able to and shoot it in the leg with the Colt. Sam tries to rush Dean and John to the hospital, but a demon then possesses a semi truck driver and plows into Dean's Impala, demolishing it and leaving all three Winchesters incapacitated inside the wreckage.

In season two, the trio are rescued and taken to the hospital, but Dean is under comatose state. Their father John summons the demon to make a deal and trades the gun and his own life to save Dean. The brothers struggle to cope with John's death while trying to continue their job. Various revelations occurred throughout the season that lead the pair to believe that the special children which have some sort of psychic power that is introduced in the season are being trained to participate in an army that the demon will lead in a coming apocalypse.

In the third season episode “Bedtime Stories”, Sam and Dean argue over whether using the newly rebuilt Colt will help give them the upper hand in breaking Dean's deal with the crossroads demon who revived Sam. At the end of the episode, Sam takes the Colt and, while Dean is asleep, visits the demon and threatens her. She tells Sam, however, that killing her will not break the deal since her boss holds the contract. Sam shoots and kills the demon anyway.
psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-58587670696981297232007-10-11T14:45:00.000-07:002008-12-10T02:19:43.283-08:00Prison Break
Prison Break is an American serial drama television series which the story revolves around a man who was sentenced to death for the crime he did not commit and his brother's elaborate plan to help him escape his death sentence. Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is accused of murder of Terrence Steadman, who is the brother of the Vice President of the United States. Strong evidence charges him of first degree murder and sentenced him to death. He was sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to await his execution. Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), his brother, deliberately sent himself to prison in order to help him to escape. After installing himself at Fox River, time works against Michael as he must overcome various obstacles and make the right connections among the inmates and prison staff to be successful in breaking out his brother. The most amazing tactics that Scofield did is hiding some messages and plan in his body tattoo. The tattoo consist of jail house blueprint and some details for escape. The brothers are aided by their lifelong friend Veronica Donovan, who begins to investigate the conspiracy that put Lincoln in jail. However, they are hindered by covert agents, who belong to an organization known as The Company.

In the season two of the series the prisoner from Fox River State Penitentiary escaped including Scofield and Lincoln. New characters are introduced including federal agent Alexander Mahone, who is assigned to track down and capture the eight escapees. The fugitives journey to locations across America with the authorities close behind them as they each pursue their individual goals. The Company continues their plan to locate and eliminate Lincoln Burrows and others who get in their way. As the season progress many conflict emerge regarding the case of the fugitive, until the President step down to protect herself and the nation from the thing she did. It is because Scofield made an agreement to the President that in exchange of their freedom which is need to be done in the President SONA is the tape revealing the President adultery. However the President made her decision and the only choice that the brothers can do is to disappear forever. The Next step is to go to Panama where it is planed before by Scofield. The plot continue where most of the main characters have ended up in Panama.

In season three the plot continue from the second season finale, it is much different in tone from the previous seasons. Lincoln is exonerated from his alleged crimes and Michael is imprisoned at Sona Federal Prison facing a homicide charge. In these season some of our characters has their redeeming moments and Michael soon discovers that he was purposely placed in Sona to engineer another daring and seemingly impossible prison break. This is to free Whistler, a mysterious inmate hiding within the prison’s sewer system. Lincoln must work outside the prison walls to help the plan of escape, as well as rescue his kidnapped son, LJ, and Michael’s true love, Sara Tancredi.

psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-49872500779802034062007-10-02T14:34:00.000-07:002008-12-10T02:19:43.433-08:00Numb3rs
Numb3rs ( also capitalized as NUMB3RS and pronounced as Numbers) is the story of FBI Special Agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) and his mathematical genius brother, Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz), who help Don solve crimes for the FBI. The show focuses on the relationships between Don, his brother Charlie and their father Alan (Judd Hirsch), and the brothers efforts to fight crimes. Usually the episodes begins with the crime and the subsequent FBI investigation lead by Don and by the help of Charlie's mathematical formulation about the given data provides some way crucial to solving crime. As a seasoned investigator, Don deals in hard facts and evidence, whereas Charlie, a math professor at a California university, functions in a world of mathematical probability and equations. Now, despite their disparate approaches to life, Don and Charlie are able to combine their areas of expertise and solve some killer cases. Charlie has his friend Larry Fleinhardt (Peter MacNicol) who help him in formulation of some logic and one of the doctoral student Amita Ramanujan (Navi Rawat), who also help him.

In the first episode of Season 1, FBI Special Agent Don Eppes got a case regarding the serial rapist-turned-killer. His brother Charlie voluntarily help him and produced a mathematical equation to identify the killer's point of origin by working back from the crime scene locations. Charlie compared the theory in a sprinkle drops of water, main plot line revolves around determining from a set of points (locations of murders by a serial killer) the home base of the killer. Much rambling about sprinklers and how from the location of the drops one can reconstruct the location of a rotating sprinkler. That is a brilliant idea of Charlie, unfortunately the first theory that he gave is suddenly missed out because he taught that the killer has only one base. So Don and Charlie talked together and again discuss the matter. Finally Charlie figure out that there is a great probability that there is a two based so he make another theory and produced a two hot zone pointing the rapist location. With Charlie brilliant idea FBI save the last victim and put the rapist in jail.

psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-68187827905368581672007-09-28T14:46:00.000-07:002008-12-10T02:19:43.456-08:00Kyle XY
An American drama television series Kyle XY is about the sixteen-years old boy Kyle who wakes up in a forest on the edge of Seattle totally naked and without any memories of an earlier life. He is totally missing standard human behaviors such as anger, joy and love. He is like a newborn baby in his lack of knowledge of human social life. He even doesn't know the simplest things, like how to eat or drink, and cannot communicate with others. When Kyle walks naked into a nearby town, he is picked up by the police. As they cannot find his records, he is taken to a children's' home where it is discovered he doesn't have a navel. At a nearby youth detention center, authorities discover that the kid is a savant who's missing instinctive human behavior and stranger still, he's missing the one thing every mammal has “a belly button”. One of the center's psychologists, Nicole Trager, realizes that Kyle needs special attention and she got interested with it. She realizes the kid doesn't belong at the home and brings him to her home while the police look for his family. The series follows Kyle and the Trager family as Kyle develops socially and searches for answers to his past.

The Trager family who adopted Kyle is a typical one, and neither dad Stephen (Thomas), sister Lori (Matson) nor son Josh (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) is at all happy when mom Nicole (MacIntyre) brings home one of her "head cases." She's a social worker and believes Kyle needs a home environment to bring him out of his shell. Soon the family starts to see that Kyle has some unique abilities and an uncanny way of completing two hour IQ tests in 5 minutes with perfect scores. He encounters everyday activities such as video games, drawing and music with a wide-eyed wonder and a thirst for more knowledge. He also starts to grow fond of the Trager family and even rescues Lori from a high school party that gets dangerously out of hand. By the end of the episode, the family has accepted the strange young man, and he's learned to speak.

Kyle learns bits and pieces that may lead him to discover his identity, and he also learns life lessons as he finds a place in the family. Each episode deals with one or more ghosts seeking Melinda's help in relaying a message or completing a task that will put the spirit to rest, and allow them to "cross over" into The Light, a metaphor presented by the show as its conception of Heaven.

Melinda Gordon has a ability to communicate with earthbound spirits and owns an antique shop. She is married to Jim Clancy (David Conrad) a local paramedic. Since she was a child she has a gift to communicate with the spirit of those who passed away. This fascinating ability was inherited to her grandmother as well as to her mother. She helps earthbound spirits and helps them to cross over in the Light. Her supporting husband Jim knows everything about her and is worried about what it can it do to her. In the first season of the series Romano was introduced, the antagonist and wearing a black hat. Romano is the opposite of Melinda, he tempted and gather earthbound souls and bring them to the Dark Side. The story climaxed in the season finale when a plane crashed in Grand view, and Melinda and Romano both attempted to sway the souls to the Light, and staying on earth, respectively. The second season arc revolves around the thinning "veil" between the living and the dead, evident in certain situations in second season episodes. By the end of the season, a second Ghost Whisperer was introduced. His arrival in Grand view sets the final events of a disastrous prophecy in motion, and the strengthening of the dark side over the Light.

In this series usually Melinda first encounter a ghost that supposed to be to crossed over. But the ghost can't leave this world because of it's unfinished business then Melinda will help the confused ghost to crossed the Light. At the end the ghost will fulfill the unfinished business by the help of Melinda and will cross over.
psychehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06147970371061727771noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7110135396451596375.post-38210723763901695622007-09-11T07:17:00.000-07:002008-12-10T02:19:43.773-08:00Beauty and the Beast
An American television series Beauty and the Beast originally broadcast in 1987.
